Second Life Sales Tracker!

by Polly Pavlova Email

Hello Folks! Today I'd like to introduce you all to a fantastic business managing tool called "Second Life Sales Tracker", or SLST. SLST is the brainchild of talented scriptor Zimbit Vidor, whose main store, Xersoft, is located HERE. What does it do? you ask...more like what doesn't it do! SLST is a vendor system that tracks your sales by sending the sale information to a secure website. Once there, you can analyze the data in a multitude of ways to see how your sales are REALLY doing.

Charts, graphs, customized reports and more are available to you so you can easily figure out what your best (and worst) selling items are, which outlet location is doing well and which are not turning a profit. You can search for sales by customer name, vendor location, item name and item category (much easier then using the transaction history page). You can even use SLST to track and analyze your SL Exchange sales.

All of the vendors at The Body Politik and Drifting Sands are SLST vendors so stop by to see whats possible with this system.

Xersoft offers free vendors (FREE!) already scripted to work with SLST. There are several versions of vendors available and they are easily configured with a notecard. The vendors have a one touch set up once configured and are copyable, making it really simple to set up vendors in multiple locations by taking a copy of a loaded vendor and dropping it someplace else. SLST is not a network system (a fact which frankly, I love) but if you do use a JEVN Network vendor there is a free plug in script available to send that data to the SLST website as well.

Besides vendors, Xersoft offers other tools such as a group maker, note card giver, auto updater and more. Weather you are just starting out or looking to switch vendor systems we highly recommend SLST!

Can you fill these shoes?

by Polly Pavlova Email

The Body Politik has a store to fill and it could be yours!

How would you like your own business location, no fees, no prim limit, high traffic, established designers...too good to be true? Read on!

First, a little background.....

The Body Politik is owned and run by Maximillion Grant and Polly Pavlova. We've been providing the SL community professional quality skins, shapes and more for over 3 years. The Body Politik is located on Eventide Far East, where you can also find the main store of Kin, terrific hair created by Kin Keiko.

Why we are doing this:

We know how hard it is for a new designer to establish themselves in Second Life. Max and I were lucky to have had a free location when we were starting out and it really made all the difference in allowing our business to grow. The Body Politik would like to "pay it forward" and give another designer this opportunity as well.

What we are searching for:

Ideally we would like a talented up and coming creator who specializes in shoes, although dabbling in jewelry and accessories in addition to shoes is fine too. (Please, no skin or hair designers). We also encourage you to get involved with Eventide related events and in helping the sim grow, but this isn't a requirement.

What we are offering:

A large store with no rent and no prim limit (within reason, meaning you know, 11k prims might be too much :P)

Direct Teleport location to your store

Your business name added to the name of our sim and our classified ads

Super fantastic friendly landlords (*cough* *cough*)

We are offering this with a few conditions:

This store must be promoted as your main location. Of course you may sell in as many outlets as your heart desires however Eventide Far East needs to be your main location.

Your creations must be your own! No business in a box and obviously no copybot.

You must create and release new product on a regular basis.

No camping is allowed, nor is the use of lucky chairs, ect.

You must promote your business! Blog, fashion feeds, advertisements....you get the idea. Go nuts!

You must like cookies (ok, not really).

How to apply:

1.Create a folder and name it "Fill These Shoes". Include a notecard containing your avatar's full name, a landmark to your current location (if you have one), URL to your blog (if you have one) and a sample of your work (pictures or demos are fine we are not looking for free shoes!)

2.Send the folder to Polly Pavlova.

3.OK, there is no three...

We are accepting "applications" until September 21 and will choose a designer by Oct 1.

Thats about it! We look forward to seeing your work!
